Default What's up with this rear trans bracket?

I bought this from someone with some mounts. I'm putting an LS-VTEC in my CRX. It's a B18A block and B16A head with a B16 Y21 transmission.

The holes line up perfectly, however the bolts that thread into the transmission will not fit through the bracket's holes.

Any ideas?

the bracket you have is for a cable trans. the hyrdo trans brackets is the same but they have larger diameter holes for the bolts. on my b16 swap i did just as what fenix409 suggested. i drilled them larger. works fine.

Yup, found out from someone yesterday the difference between the hydro/cable brackets.

Have a friend with a drill press, will have it taken care of

Yeah man I'am having the same issue, you have to drill with a 9/16th bit to fit the 19mm long *** bolt.

Yeah, screw a hand drill Took me an hour to widen the holes on my traction bar that didn't quite line up and that was only 3/8" thick.

Took it to friend's classic craftsman/sears roebuck drill press. Used scraps to make the bracket sit even, and a clamp to hold it down.

Both holes perfectly bored out in less than 10 minutes

Thanks again.
