iight i need some advice i want to kno whats the best way to get about 130-150mph out of a civic preferably a 2000 si like should i go with a k series swap or just build of the b16 or jus get the si shelli need some help like what is the safest and most cost effective way to get to those speeds all views and opinions will be apriciated good lookin...i want the go with a lilbit of show

My stockish 1997 DX can hit 120, the only things limiting your B series from hitting 130 are the short gears, maybe the ecu, and speed limits.

 

kid must be super young. omg i want to be able to go super fast to 130. who really cares what the top speed of ur 2000 civic is lol this is not a nsx or lambo man. i have only had maybe 2 times that not being able to go over 130 have made me loss a race and that wasagainst a vette and a ss camaro.

 

why exactly do you want to do 150?
si with some mods and good tune should be able to 145-150 kswap is totaly unnessescary and isnt cheep what so ever.

1. Its dumb to do 130 on the streets/interstate.
2. 130mph isn't cool when it takes 10 minutes to get there.

Most cars are fast, few are quick.

Well, your grammar doesn't help. If you want to keep up with mustangs, your best bet is to go turbo.

 

Im in FL and I know the "race game" if your talking about V8's+ those cars naturally can do 100-130 easily sometimes even near stock. For a honda to keep up to that your looking at more than 2500 or more under the hood of a honda.

If there is a domestic car out there actually street racing most likely they got some serious **** under the hood as well. So unless your an experienced street racer and know your **** about building a motor capable of waxing their asses lol I recommend you put this dream behind you and have some regular street fun.

Dont mean to disrespect hondas but I came from the BMW world not to long ago and they even have issues going neck to neck with muscle cars if you dont have serious money under the hood...not to mention tires

But if you insist go B18(boosted) or B20 Vtec(All motor)

ok seeing as how the 130-150mph just set so many ppl off let me fix it up a bit what is the safest and most cost effective way to increase a 2000 si's acceleration and top speed because that 7.2 0-60 cant be to exciting i know what i need to know about how im gonna put together the interior and exterior but the engine should be left to the ones with the knowledge
