Finding stereo serial# w/o a sticker?
I have a 95 ls sedan and need to reset my radio. The problem is that my radio does not have the sticker on it with the serial number. I tried holding the 1 and 6 buttons and that did not show me the serial #. I also looked in the glove box and in the fuse boxes and they dont have stickers either. Is there another way to find the stereo ser# or somewhere else to look in the car? Thanks for any advise or thread links.
dude i work at a honda dealership and i can only get radio codes if i have the radios serial #. goodluck thought if you find one let me know i can get you the code. it might be time just to go aftermarket
Normally I would just replace the stereo, but I just bought the car to fix the tranny and sell it. Can you get the serial number to show up on the display for older radios, or just 2000+?
Get a new one.....chances are good that one is stolen since it has the serial # sticker ripped off. In theory they can pull it off the VIN at the honda dealer, however chances are that isnt the original radio.
i have a question about this.... i have a 95 ls also and someone put a aftermarket radio in and its junk and im more old school and like the oem cd/radio in my car... can i use my 94 radio code or does each radio have its own code?
Well the old owner ended up having the security card with the code. She forgot she had it untill i asked about where they got the radio. Everything works fine now!
