Default Radiator and Battery problem????

First off is my radiator. The other day I noticed smoke coming from under my hood so I took a look. There was a steam like substance seeping from what apears to be cracks in the radiator. It looks like someone had put a putty like material around the cracks to stop the seeping, but it's not doing a good job. Should I invest in a new radiator?

Secondly is my battery problem. I recently installed new headlights and thought they might have zapped my battery but im not sure. I turned my car on the other day and the battery light came on. My headlights weren't as bright and the inside lights dimmed. I drove it for a while to see if it would stop, and my radio started going on and off. Then my RPM gauge started going crazy. I parked it and when i tried to start it back up it was dead, so I had to get a jump from some1. What kind of problem is this? I think the guy before me did a **** pour job of wirring the thing and I think it might be that, but i was hoping it would just require a new battery.???

Sounds like someone tried to glue up your radiator. You need a new one.

You either have some serious wiring problems, or it could be that your alternator has died. It sounds to me like your alternator has given up. I think that an el crapo zone can test the alternator(out of the car) for you.
