6 puck on the street?
i figure this is the best place to ask...
does anyone run a 6 puck clutch on the street? whats it like? how's the life of the disc?
i'm looking into the HA3-HDR6 for my Prelude
i assume the track performance is very nice, but curious on its streetability
reasons:
cheaper than SS disc
handles more power (turbo very soon)

Any clutch setup made for high torque will take some getting used to on the street. I've been running an ACT 4 puck with the xtreme pp for some time now and dont mind it at all, but it depends on who you talk to.
Me and my bro are both running the clutchnet 6 puck with the sprung center in our H22s. Its a little less harsh than a solid 6 puck.
They are daily drivable and still chatter a bit but you get use to them.
I would see about getting a sprung center hub to reduce driveline shock.

get the ACTION 1MD clutch kit.
it has the single diaphragm heavy duty pressure plate
and 4 or 6 puck SPRUNG disc and it wont chatter.
I even use the 4 puck solid disc myself and never had chatter problems.

My little brother is running the ACT extreme plate and 6 puck. I drove his car once and didn't ever want to do it again. It's too much work. It's not everyday you get a chance to drive a decent 12 second car but I hated it after 2 stop signs so I quit.

I run an ACT 6 puck with HD pp in my gsr and I love it. Streetability is not compromised at all. You get used to it in less than a day. Clutch chatter is annoying at first but I don't mind it now. That **** grips, buy it.

i had an exedy 3 puck clutch for a while, came on the car when i bought, damn did that thing grab, but the drivetrain did "shock" it was extreme sudden engagement, and was a bitch in traffic and basically any stop, and i was dubbed by many ricers in town as "the guy that cant drive his fake type r" yet every friend i let try and drive my car stalled it the first couple attempts
and it was 3 times harder to push in than the exedy sport i now have

i just installed a 6 puck a.c.t in my buddys 97 turbo single over head 1.6 and you would be suprised. very heavy off of the luanch but instant grab, allthough it was a little chattery off the line, then again it was installed 3 hours ago,but ill tell you what,it spins the tires 4,000 and above in 1st,socand and part of third ,Turbo civic E.X,hoodratt,007
I run a CM stage IV and it chatters like a ******* *****. It's a sprung 4 puck that holds lots of power, but it does chatter.
i have an actuon unsprung 6puck dual diaphram 3klb pressure plate
its supposed to engage like stock
but all i know is its collecting dust on my couch while i scrounge for the rest of my turbo kit.

I'm running the 6 puck solid disc, and after about three days of driving around, it just feel like stock to me. Now after 3 months of driving around on this I drove my friends hatch with a stock clutch, and it seemed like it took FOREVER to grab. 6 puck is very streetable, even though it says it is not recommended.
