my '90 crx si with a gsr swap wont start at times.
when it does start it idles really low (400-500rpm)
then suddenly jumps to 1000rpm and back down again.
the car boggs everytime i try to punch on the gas and it wont let me go passed 3000rpm in any gear!
and also when i turn off the car it wont start up again for another 5-10min.
im so frustrated with it i cant find the answer.
any suggestions or help?

 

any codes? prolly something with ign. system

um.. fix the codes.. the 4 and 9 are in the dizzy. thats whats keeping you in limp mode.

 

almost garanteed distributor, possibly wiring, but code 4+9 are sensors that are fixed inside tha dizzy assembly, 4 is crank sensor an a car wont run with that signal missing, 9 is CylinderPositionSensor which is for abnormal crank signal which is only on startup, an 43 is fuel delivery, bad crank signal=fuel trim unknown, if you have a service book there should be a pic of two wires to jump across terminals an measure continuity(ohms) on tha big dizzy plug

 

so if i get a new distributor codes 4 and 9 should be fixed and my car will be running better????

 

most likely... but theres always those problems that dont happen too often but still happen, jus take the rite steps in diagnosin the problem, use, borrow, buy, atleast an ohmmeter an with the rite procedure can figure out if the dizzy is at fault

 

if it worked fine before and now all the sudden doesn't, then i would lean towards the dizzy being at fault.
