Need exhaust help!!
I just recently acquired a 2000 gsr coupe that came with a aftermarket fujibutiso sp?exhaust but I need to either change this back to oem or tone down the noise to stock. I've been looking for a used oem exhaust but they seem hard to come by..
My question is.. Can I just buy a GSR/ITR MUFFLER and bolt it to the after market b pipe? would this be a bolt on or would I need to do some modifications..Noise would go down just like to stock correct?
Thanks for the help

You might have to have flanges modified or added to use a stock "axle back" muffler section.
Noise should come down, but probably won't be "stock" sounding, or quiet, as the existing exhaust probably has a different resonator (or not have one at all) in the B pipe.

just go to a muffler shop and have them weld you in some 2.25" or 2.5" piping to a box muffler and 2.5" outlet, you'll still feel more power than a stock exhaust and it'll be really quiet, and you'll probably make a good amount of your money back selling whatevers on your car now
