Should I pick this up??
I have recently been searchin around local car ad's for a civic hatch preferably a midori green, cuz i am in love with that color. I came across this one, the guy listed it for 2750 but I think I am guna negotiate the price with him when I take a look at it tomorrow. I am kinda a poor college student right now. my plan is to make it a daily, prolly put HX's on it and possibly doin an ls swap. I was just seein what yall thought about it and if you think he is askin too much. I know its a rare color, but its also a CX. Lemme know what you think. THanks.

how many miles? $2700 sounds pretty decent, but of course again that depends on things like mileage. Also what's the interior like, i see a bit of sunfading on the hood and such, but who wouldn't love a fresh coat of midori anyway?
Hahahaha thats why i didnt post the ad! I dont want ppl to scoop it up before I have a chance to look at it!
180,000 before the odometer went bad, speedo was replaced.. kinda scary but I mean.. Ive been workin on hondas for a long time and can replace anything.. Interiors kinda beat.. 5 out of 10 id say.. It looks like a dog nawd on the shift **** and seats lol. I wanted to respray it myself kinda, I worked at a body/paint shop over summer and learned ALOT and also got to paint towards the end before I had to come back to school. AND MIDORI IS THE ****!

Of course you should pick it up. You don't need the affirmation of all the rubber neckers on here to tell you it's a good idea - you already know what you want, be a grown up and go and get it.
However, I'll submit to you: WTF is the point of looking for a midori green hatch if you're just going to repaint it midori green anyway? Why not look for a hatch of any colour, with an interior that isn't a devastating 5/10, with a speedo that can guarantee the amount of mileage, and maybe ... has a lower price? If you're a student, then that is your biggest concern.... low dineros.
Either that or wait for another m. green one to come along.

I just wanted to see if more people thought it was a good price man, no need to be rude.

The point of looking for a midori green is that I wont have to worry about painting engine bay, door jams, etc. Also I get this wont be done for a while and I may just take the hood off and paint that alone, just keeping options open.

I drive a ford explorer right now cuz all my other cars have gotten stolen. I cant afford the rediculous gas prices anymore.
I have talked to him about lowering the price. I am going to try to get it down to 2000, but if not the most i think ill pay is around 2300. I do plan on having a crazy anti-theft system with cut off's and alarms.
I bought it today. 2400 and we worked a deal where he is going to take it to get inspected,if anything is wrong during inspection he will have it fixed at no extra cost to me.
thanks everyone.. Im real excited for it.. Ill be sure to post up some pics after I clean it up alittle.. I have a friend that has some HX wheels. I really wanna put some white HX's on it, and slam it lol.
if this was california i could lowball that guy to 1900$ because we need that A/C haha. but im sure you can get him for like 2200 or maybe less. i got my EG cx for 17,000 an the guy originally wanted 2600$. i told him i had a kid on the way and needed a cheap car lol. feel free to use that.
Body looks good, though the peeling clearcoat on the hood sucks and the front bumper looks like it's missing a bolt or such.
Almost any stock '96 Civic is going to need a little TLC.
Value depends greatly on the location.
I know here anything older than 10 years old is supposed to be exempt from mileage anyway.
Good luck and have fun with it. I wouldn't dump a lot of cash into repainting what doesn't need new paint though.
