new left side bearing stiill humming
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So i replace the left front and the rear wheel bearing and its a lot quieter. But its still humming. The noise goes away when i make a right turn putting all the weight on the left side. What can it be BAD parts maybe?? Should i take it off and return the parts for a new one? I purchase them both at Oreilly Auto. This is on a 2002 Acura TL-S

double check it and the installation before you just take it off.
jack the wheel up, rotate it by hand. if its rough, and you know youre able to distinguish brake drag, then sure, return it.
the only other thig it could be is the tranny carrier bearings, but that would make noises from the tranny.

Lets see if i can explain my theory without confusing anyone or myself.
I have always thought that what every side that the weight is being shifted on and makes the humming go away would pin point the bad side. Because a wheel bearing with play would have more pressure on it to quite it down. Unless I'm wrong, which might just be the case. But someone who knows please chime in.

I had a Tacome come in for a bearing noise. Went and test drove the truck. When I turned right to apply load to the left side the noise went away. Turned left and it hummed like crazy. Put it on a lift and got the stethoscope out and sure enough it was the left front bearing. They usually say that the side you apply load on and it starts humming is the bad side. But it can go both ways.
