Default swap woes

i have a 90 crx si. with a 91 b16a and what i was told is a j1 tranny. im swapping in a 01 Gsr, it has a clutch, but no tranny. my first plan was to just reuse my tranny but seeing how its older anyways i wanted to get a newer hydro tranny. i have heard multiple times that the 89-91 intermediate shafts are different and the clutch would need to be swapped. does anyone know if the axels i have will work with a newer hydro trans? or would i need to get everything new

what intermediate shaft do you have? match the axles to that. so pretty much use your same axle setup. i have a 95 gsr hydro trans and im using 93 teg axles and halfshaft

as for the clutch, you need to buy the clutch disc for the tranny. so if you are gonna be using a gsr tranny, get a gsr clutch disc. the pressure plate from any b series will work fine so if your old one is still usable and you want to save some cash, just reuse it.

if the intermediate shaft is female with a male axle then you most likely have 90-93 teg parts. if the intermediate shaft is male then they are likely 94-01 teg axles.
