Will H&R lowering springs for an EK fit an EF?

I have searched and found not too much about this. I am trying to keep a relatively stock or slightly lowered ride height, but enhance handling. I have access to a set of H&F lowering springs for an EK. They are supposed to lower 1.75"F 1.5"R.
I read somewhere else that an EF with EK springs and shocks/struts will be about 1" higher all around.
Simple reasoning and calculations tell me that the EK H&R springs will lower my EF by .75"F and .5"R and give me a little bit of a stiffer ride. This will be with new kyb g2's(cheap, i know).
I know that things that seem simple at first sometimes turn out to be more complicated. Is there anything wrong with my reasoning here? Will these springs give me a slightly lowered ride height with better handling??
edit - these springs are going on an 89 dx hatch that is getting a dohc zc, I think that adds 25 pounds to the front?

The ek chassis is heavier. If you put the Springs in your lighter car it will not drop as much and ride rough. I had EG springs in my ED and it rode like crap. I got some Skunk2 lowering springs for my car and it rides great.
