Anyone know if you can put a A-20A engine in replace of a A-18A

My A-18A Engine on my '86 Vigor has a blown head gasket, and i can only find a cheap A-20A Engine off a 1989 Accord superstage.
Are they compatible?

My vigor has done 214,000 k's - this accord engine has only done 107,000.

 

Yeah he A20A will drop right in place of the A18A, just unbolt all the stuff off the A18A block and put it on the A20A.

 

Ok kewl thanks, i was told by someone that you couldn't go bigger only smaller without modifications?

 

So will the auto tranny and manifold, distributor etc bolt onto the a20a engine from my a18a?

 

Yep. I'm assuming you have the single carb A18A.

A question about blown head gaskets,

Its weird that my car temp quage dosent move past quarter and the fan wont come on but theres oily clumps in the radiator, yet it dosent blow any smoke either.

You can buy this sealant for "Gaskets" if only it was that simple, its spose to seal cracks in the head etc? i thought it worth a try LOL! as engine poked anyway......but the bottle says what till thermo opens!??? well my wont - probably because of the oil in my coolant.

How can they sell this stuff?
