HPS silicon hose & CT-E intake fitment issues

HPS silicon hose & CT-E intake fitment issues
Has anyone else done this combo yet? I put the HPS hose on tonight and it looks like i'll need to trim close to 1" off of it to get it to fit right. Just verifying that those who have this combo have had to do the same thing to get a proper fitment.
