If you are using the Japanese-spec P08 ECU, you will need to use the 1-wire oxygen sensor. If you are using a North American-spec ECU, you will need to use your old oxygen sensor.

OK, not true on using the 1-wire o-2 sensor. If using the P08 ecu, you can use the USDM 4 wire o-2 sensor, the 1-wire that the ecu needs is there and hooked up. The other wires are there, just not doing anything. I did lots of research before swapping in my D15B Vtec yrs ago and ran it with a P08 ecu and 4-wire o-2 sensor and never had one bit of problems. As this was the recommended solution to not being able to get the correct 1-wire o-2 sensor here in the states.

My D15B VTEC swap came with the 1-wire oxygen sensor. I thought they all should...? The OP probably has both.

The OP should probably tell us which ECU he is using...

Yes, you are right, the D15b should have the 1-wire o-2 sensor, but most times they are damaged when we get our engines. The use of the 4 wire o-2 sensor as a replacement is fine, since both ecus use the same pin for o-2 signal wire. The main difference is the USDM has a heater in the o-2 sensor, where as the JDM doesn't. So you can use a 4-wire on either the P08 or P28 ecu.
