Icon3 Cold start switch/Fast Idle Switch...B18

I recently did a Coolant Bypass on my throttle body to decrease the incoming Charge...

I Wasn't expecting such a increase in throttle responce and a lil more power hear in there!ha

The Bypass Works great, yet one issue was made.
The "Thermo sensor"? that detects coolant temp to tell when the engine hits operating temp was no longer usefull considering the coolant was being bypassed[re-routed] and no temp except 100% cold was being sent to the ecu 24/7

Solution!-Installed a Switch In the Harness For the Fast Idle Senosr.[B18-Located on the back of the Intake Manifold]
Now when ever i flip the switch The idle Increase to Fast Idle.

first you said you did a coolant bypass on the throttle body, which would mean you bypassed the fast idle thermal valve. but then you said the back of the intake manifold, which would be the idle air control valve. did you bypass both? in the grand scheme of things its not worth bypassing these things. the cylinder head itself dissipates way more heat into the intake manifold then the fitv and iacv do.

Yea, I added a switch into the circuit of the sensor on the back of the intake manifold[I have a B18B1-so i believed it was the fast idle thermal valve]
but now that i think of it its on the throttle body so it makes sense that i added the switch to the idle air control valve.

Sorry, New to the world of sensor!

Only the air control valve is on a opened/closed circuit to keep the motor from high idle 24/7 except colds starts.

Sound right?

the iacv, controlled electronically, is on the back of the intake manifold. it manages warm engine idle. the fitv, which isn't electronic, adjusts cold engine idle and does so through the expansion of a thermowax plunger that moves depending on the temperature of the coolant circulating around it.
