I have a 91 accord lx with a 94 JDM F22b swap. I have a O2 sensor check engine code with the old 91 O2 sensor in place. I figured I needed a sensor for the 94 so I ordered it. It got here today and the clip on the sensor is the male and i needed the female. Obviously the design from 91 to 94 is different. Instead of trying to rewire the 94 sensor i just bought, can I use a new one that would be for the old 91 motor? (my thinking is that maybe the old one was just bad from age)

However, the old motor was sohc non-vtec and the new motor is sohc vtec. Do I need the 94 O2 sensor or can I use the 91 sensor?

Yes you need the O2 sensor for the 91 lx Accord.
