how much can i mill my b16 head on a GSR block before i run into p2v problems any ideas?

i know on my D15B7 you could mill off .030 safely even with a bigger after market cam

i wondering if i could take 0.030 inches off my b16 head and run some itr cams and no clearance issues?

and it is stock USDM GSR pistons

 

I am currently running a stock GSR bottom end with a b16 head that has been milled at least .030 (probably more). The cams are HSLs.

I currently run a b16a head with .030" off it and a stock b18c5 block with no issues. Usually you mill the head to get the required chamber cc's and go from there. How much do you need to mill your head?

 

i don't need to mill my head i just want a higher C/R so 0.030 seems safe for my DD build maybe get some M22x cams instead of some ITR cams maybe some M22xx cams for some more power out of vtec

 

RM always told me I would need 12:1 to run the M22xx cams. I can tell you that the M22x cams don't feel bad down low but I'm at 11.5:1 now which may help that.
