I have a 1989 honda civic dx 5 speed with 1.5L I Start The Car Then It Immediately Dies. Even If I Pump The Gas It Does Not Stay Running. I Got It Started And Drove About 3 Miles And It Died and check engine light came on. Did The Same Thing Start And Die Then Started And Was Able To Drive Home. Did This Same Thing About 3 Years Ago, Had The Fuel System Checked And The Mechanic Says It Was A Cracked Distributor Cap. This Time I Replaced Cap And Rotor And It Is Still Acting Up. New Mechanic Says It May Be The Igniter In The Distrib. But He Is Not 100% Sure. Mechanic says it pulled a code 16 for the check engine light. What Do You Think?
