Stock b16 TuRbO HelP!(DONE RESEARCH)
Alright i have been talking alot to different people. and i have a friend around where i live who works at a local shop he has a d16z6 and hes making 230 on very conservative tune.
Thats besides the point now to my questions -= SEE BELOW=-

I have a b16a with full valve train. and!
my buddy who works at the local mechanic shop has a Greddy kit on his car. but i was looking around the f-i Forums and
https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/here-what-my-turbo-b16-civic-did-dyno-1757776/
^ that guy i know spent a HELLUVALOT less then $3,000.00 dollars on that kit. and he made 350 WHP! i
I'm not looking to make anything near that guy made on stock block/head. I was hoping for 250-270 MAX. I want reliable and fast. my stage 2 comp clutch goes in next month.
I'm getting my tax money very soon and i do not want to pop 3k on a greddy kit. The only reason id pop 3k on greddy kit is cause of its name and for sure no boost leaks, and cracked manifolds or just to avoid the headache all around.
Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY CONFUSION!
I do not know what to do!!! i looked on forums some guy selling turbokit 1500 bux the GT kit but i don't trust it! i don't want problems with my boost set-up i wanna throw it on tune it and turn the key.
Witch route do i go??? i do not know much about turbos but iv been watching enough videos and been around street racing enough to know that all the people out there throwing, sc61's on their b16's and they don't spool or make any kind of decent power cause turbo to big.
What i want to do is spool quick and have the power there instantly( NOT LITERALLY BUT YOU UNDERSTAND), and i want to have a great car all around for driving normal and weekend warrior! i hope this thread was spaced out enough so it did not hurt anyone's eyes i tried

There is only ONE absolute way to buy a good kit for cheap and thats...*drumroll* buying used. For small stuff i buy used but for the bigger stuff its a little harder since there are scammers on this forum. If you want a quick instant spool look for a smaller snail that will net you around 220-240whp with boost setting lower for stock reliability. if you want 250-270 with quick spool look for a slightly larger snail but ball-bearing. if you peice one together yourself it can be cheaper *notice* i said "can" not "will". and if you want it reliable then the extra parts and tuning gets very expensive or just run on low boost and push moderate power.
