working on bone stock 96 accord with the vtec motor. car came to me pulling p0106 (map sensor code). surging idle, bogging on acceleration, etc. first thing i did was check for vacuum leaks on all the hoses, everything checked out. pulled throttle body and IACV - cleaned both of those, threw em back on clean and dry hours later. idle smoothed out but the car dies when u bump the gas...eventually traced a small hole in water pump housing that was sucking in air, got new housing from junkyard, cleaned, threw it on, same problem...so my question is should i just shoot for a new map sensor? ive got to get this car out of my driveway so any response is appreciated thanks.

Pick one up from a junkyard, they can't be too much.

 

$60 bucks...im just looking for some more input really as to what could be going on here...basically im down to that map sensor, the tps sensor, or a faulty IM gasket.
