ive had it since 198k and its at 221k rebuild? its not a shell and im still driving it with no problems... just came from cali and vegas too. its coo gl looking

 

Im not saying that im not interested just the price is too high for a stock motor with 200K miles on it. Im saying that if you did a complete rebuild of the motor that I would be interested thats all.

If a motor is up to date on maintenance, dosent smoke and has good compression why would it need to be rebuilt???

It appears he's looking for a daily driver and with this economy, $3,000 can get you a descent car. If I was in the OP's position, I too would probably prefer a rebuilt motor than one with 200,000+ miles regardless, for peace of mind.

 

In that case, he can buy my van. 1989 GMC Safari Van with an inline 4 in it. 107K miles. Piiiimpin, little creeper, but its a car parts hauler. And it has a stripper pole in the back.
