surging idle???
hey all,
I know this is pretty common in hondas, but i have an extremely annoying surging idle when I start the car.... I t slowly stop surging and finally stops when warmed up to operating temp., but I was just wondering if anyone has any good leads on the source of this problem???

Sounds like the FITV(Fast Idle Thermo Valve)since the surging is stopping after the engine gets some heat into it.
Here's a more in depth breakdown of the cleaning process over the link above. You don't need to take the Intake Manifold off to clean it, I just take the Throttle Body off and plop it on my work bench and take the FITV off and dis-assemble there.
