Default another prelude bites it

well my pride and joy is now totaled. i was smashed into by an ambulance this morning. no its wasnt flashing its lights on its way anywhere, just heading back to home base. came out of nowhere and BAM. spun me around 380 degrees. i think my side will be bruised in teh mornign and ill be sore, but i walked away. i have pictures but i cant post them on this. glass everywhere, the car is f-cked. and the insurance will most likely cover the loan. so im f-cked too.Back to top

**** the car, as long as you're ok... did the cops make a report?
if so, go ahead and see a doctor first thing in the morning to make sure you're ok. their insurance is gonna cover it. oh and also, make sure they give you a rent-a-car until you get another car. it's their fault.

yes im glad im alive and im aware of that cause 11 months ago i totaled my 89 accord after hitting a deer and rolling. and i have a rental car ive taken care of everything. the cop did not cite anyone for being at fault. but if anyone gets cited it would most likely be me. i was making a left hand turn 20 feet from a light ( gas station) and i was for a car that was blocking the entrance to leave. oncoming traffic was clear. the car finally left and i swore oncoming was still clear but then i see a big ambulance bombing at me and BOOM. i dont know if i just somehow lost sight of what i doing or they took the corner fast and came out of nowhere. i cant remember and i dont know what they told the cops. the ambulance people didnt tell me anything, but i didnt tell them anything either. its a tough one to tell since im not sure what exaclty happened.

Honda made plenty of Preludes. God made one of you. Consider yourself extremely fortunate.

Hey in curiosity did they help you after they hit you? As long as you walked away from this and that's all that matters. Look on the bright side if they did help you atleast it was an ambulance and not just a dumbass driving a truck.

well the driver was a woman who was more in shock then i was. and her partner was a dumbass. I was sitting my car in shock not moving cause my side hurt and i was freaked teh **** out. they just sat in their ambulance for what seemed like 5 minutes until they got out and asked if i was ok. their base camp was half a block away and their supervisor came down and he looked at me. i didnt go to the hospital. but for emergency med people, they seriously didnt know what they were doing, they were even trying to leave the scene without police. i had to stop them and say they werent going anywhere till the police were called and a report was filed. Los Angeles, the city of idiots. i hope i never emergency help in this place cause id really be screwed. and dont get me wrong i love LA, but geez...

What was the speed limit on the road the ambulance was on? That thing looked like it was flying!

35mph. Got the police report which cited me as being at fault ( i figured) but the one witness completely gave an untrue story to the cop. ******* stupid people...
