Default B16 in teg?

Would a b16 be a good swap for an ls b18b? One of my friends think it wouldnt and the other does. Its a good deal and i need a new engine and it is somewhat of an upgrade. plus i could always use the head and get a b18c block right?

I personally wouldn't mind a b16 powered dc, but it would need quite a few mods to make it perform well.

I wouldn't put a straight B16 in your Integra. If anything, use the B16 head on your LS and make an LS vtec. The B16 is a little too torque-less for the heavier Integra chassis and doesn't really make the most impressive setup IMO

99-2000 SI weighs the same as the DC's and Honda put a B16 in there from the factory. Heck they put 1.6 SOHC's in Integras in Japan. I would tade a B18B for a B16 ANY DAY. B16 has more power and better potential.

The transmission is something to consider as well. I don't think a B16 would do well on an LS tranny.

if you know hondas you know the b16 tranny has a shitty differential as well , consider this if you like to play with your cars.

It depends on what year the b16 was from. Some of them make 8hp more but have ~30lbs less torque....
I'd rather have the torque.
I would do LSV as schister said.
