Hi guys,

Im new to the Forum and not really sure were to Post, but I thought maybe here is good...

Now I need some Advice,I do short oval racing and currently running a 1990 civic dual carb model.All though the engine in my Civic is From a Rover 216,(Honda of Course ) With the twin Carbs & Distribitor from the 1.4 engine.
I was wondering if Any of you guys could point me in the right direction, Im trying to get the best out of my civic, (all tho we only use 2nd gear) what would be the best Head, Cam, Carbs, and what would give me the most tourque in 2nd gear. Please not that I can only use carb'd engines and not fuel injection.

Upon joining the Forum, ive done alot of searching, and seen alot about the Si Cams? and Mikuni carbs?

Any help would be gladly appreciated.

what is the engine code itself??? sorry i've only seen info on the rover's once or twice. the 216 came with the d16 iirc, right? with the transmission are you looking for top speed or fast revs because the transmission choice can greatly affect your lap times.

it should already have the Si cam then. sorry to specify more clearly as long as it is the D16A6, which it should be iirc the engine code for the 216, lol.

I don't know hardly anything about carb setups though so I'll leave that info for someone else, lol.
