3 point bar fitment???
A buddy of mine has given me a generic 3 point strut bar that he purchased from e-bay for his 89 hatch but got ride of the car before he had any chance to put it on. I am trying to install it on my 90 hatch. The towers fits just fine but at the fire wall it has like about (give or take) 3/4in of space between the firewall and strut bar.
I could just put some spacer or something in between but it looks cheezy when I picture it. Has anyone ran into this problem with the generic 3 point bar? Hopefully my car has not been into some kind of accident before me owning it.

if you machine a spacer to the right specs it might not look too bad. however something just thrown together might look a little rigged. I think it's just a poor quality design as to why it's not fitting correctly. one of the drawbacks sometimes buying ebay generic parts.
here is an example of some spacers my brother machined for his motor swap he is putting in his corolla. i know it might be hard to visualize without seeing what they are connecting but you should be able to get a good idea of what a good spacer can look like rather than something found that will just "work".
also something like this wouldn't cost much to make especially with it being such a small part that needs to be machined. they could make it with some scrap aluminum that is left over from other parts they make so they wouldn't charge you much except for the labor part of it. just an idea.
