There are many good 2way alarms from DEI and Compustar...
http://www.deiholdings.com/
http://www.compustar.com/
GPS tracking is also available from both.
Keep in mind, the alarm is only as good as the install and one or two redundant kill switches, [not controlled by alarm] will go a long way in protecting the car. 94

I have been in the security alarm field for so long now & have learned and done many overkill layers, that the only way they will get it is when it comes down to a confrontation & you let them have it.

I would tell you how I did mines but you would think I'm crazy. Just know if someone tries to get my car they will bleed badly. Maybe get some health problems if Im lucky. And no I'm not going to shoot them or anything like that but it is an option. haha.
OP.. cement a giant eye bolt into your driveway and chain your car to it every night if you don't have a good garage.

I've installed and owned both compustar and clifford/dei. I would go with Clifford if I was looking for a high security alarm. Compustar's are decent but have a ways to go to match the number of options dei has.
Multiple starter/ignition kills is the key. If you just rely on one then it only takes one to disable. Don't put your eggs all in one basket!
alarms are definitely going to stop some thief's, but not all, just try to stay out of huge city parking, and always garage your car. but with a PY type r your definitely going to be seen. i have a black one
well i would say maybe those wheels anchor locks...or any lo jack thing..cause my bros 00 em1 was stolen last week and it had a pager alarm with starter kill n fuel cutoff and the crack babies still took it cause they broke the cut the siren and pushed it with there car 3 blocks away to stripp it....
To me, if they somehow disable one they still have to contend with the other.
Multiple layers of security is your best bet of slowing them down.I also agree that no car is 100 percent theft proof.I have even know a few installers that have been paid to secure a few razor blades in the wiring and on the brain of the alarm to prevent them from being yanked out.
But you are free to disagree
It isnt as easy as just giving him a name I am sure there are going to be tons of different opinions on here.He can take the advice of what to do and what to look for in an alarm and make a educated decision on what to buy locally.
pm wrx-killer-Sti-eater. he sells a complete ready to install alarm setup for your car. i dont want to say too much about it. so just pm him and find out more.
Just like it has been said before. The install is one huge thing that will help the car from being stolen. A clean stealth install where the thief cant find the brain or wires to cut will secure your car. nothing will 100% guarantee your car not to get stolen. just pay a qualified shop that is known for good security work to do the job. dont park in stupid locations, dont show your car off (letting people know what exactly what you have) to people you dont know, there is hundreds of things people can say to do on here but just dont be an idiot basically. thieves are very smart now days.
