i recently bought a ef civic with a d16z6. and it ran great it has a pm6 ecu and they told me that it was chipped. but after driving it for a while it started to show a decrease in power and it wants to shut off when i throw it in reverse at times. i thought that the timing belt may have jumped a tooth. i also checked to see it it is a vacuum leak but i can't exactly figure it out i do know that the black canister has one vacuum line going in but none going out. but it was running fine before this. tomorrow i'm planning on changing the plugs wires and timing belt but idk if this will stop the problem. any info and help is greatly appreciated.

 

look at a vacuum diagram so check for any missing vacuum hoses. where did you get this "chipped" PM6 from? if not you can open it up and check to see if anything has been touched. or compare it side by side with a stock PM6

 

ohh of course i checked it and the only thing is this regular *** lookin chip with a blue mark on it and idk what it is....but yeah i checked the vacuum hoses and put them all where they belong but also one of my wires to my plugs was fried....also ppl been tellin me that i can run vtec on my pm6 which i think is a bunch of bologna but idk i'm not that knowledgable on wiring......and last but no least i came upon another problem on a friend of mines ef he's running a zc motor and out of nowhere it suffereded lack of power and a whistle noise that sounds like turbo induction without the turbo lol we have looked at it for hours and can't seem to figure out that problem either as for my problem i fixed it but hopefully you guys can help me out with this new one....any and all help will be appreciated...
