Still tho. No garage.... that sucks.
Even sleeping in it won't keep thieves away. They'll catch you off guard and stab your ***.

If I may ask, is it true that in some states its legal to shoot and kill people, if they are trying to steal your car from YOUR backyard (your land). And if it true, what state(s) is that? Texas?

if i catch you stealing my car in any state i'd shoot you XD...

i'd suggest kill switch, Alpha lock 2000, good (2 way pager) alarm, Lock steering column, Removable steeringwheel Or wheel lock i guess, pedal locking thing, etc...

basically anything that can help slow down thieves and buy you time or whatever...

Just remember, everything is bypassable. Just be creative

If you dont have a garage, then you just increased the chances of it being stolen by alot.

At least use a car cover if parked outside please, it helps

I turned down a lot of cars because I didn't have a garage.

Get some of those tire boots, like the ones that the city puts on your car for unpaid tickets, slows down the thief and tow truck driver from using the eagle claw.

I also live in CA. I always worried about the rides getting jacked. You can also disconnect your main relay or remove the ground plug in the engine compartment. So the car doesnt run. My brothers friends ride just ot jacked 2 weeks ago. Steering wheel disconnected, fuel cut off, alarm, and they still got the car. The car was pushed for a distance with a bigger vehicle.

The hood can be popped from the outside. They just gotta reach in front of the bumper or drivers side fender and pull the cable. Once popped, they can cut the wire to the alarm siren. My bro has a hood lock on his that you unlock with a key from the inside.

relocate your hoodrelease cable to inside the engine bay. Get in touch with Desmond from the audio/security/video forum he is a Security/Alarm guru.

You can start by NOT publically discussing what theft detterants are already on the car. You cannot be too careful and we know that those pieces of **** lurk here for information. A garage is going to be your first and best line of defense. If you don't have a beater to daily dive you had mise well consider it a gonner now. Best of luck.

Yes, we can do this in Texas. While it's not always the best choice, it is certainly an option.

Unless your life is in danger, shooting a thief for attempting to steal your car Is not a wise choice. If you kill him you can face serious charges (even here in Texas).

If you want to keep your R safe keep it garaged with motion sensors, boot all 4 wheels and keep your Pitbull inside of the vehicle over night.

ill just say it now.... sorry to hear your R got stolen...

everything suggested so far is just a deterrent, or "layer". all are by-passable. and have heard of cars being stolen with all of the above (minus the boot, never actually seen one on a car) and then some, 4ft from the window where he was sleeping.

as for blocking with other cars? lol they are stealing an R, sure they are gonna be good enough to get 2 other cars to at least just MOVE from your driveway. but even so, i do recall someone here in the R forum saying his R was stolen from his driveway with a car still parked behind where his R was.

i know people here on this forum do park there R's outside, known people locally to do so also. still its a gamble.

I'd say just get a really good alarm with a kill switch. And equip it with some kind tracking device. Because no matter what alarm, steering wheel lock, removable steering wheel, etc they can always just tow your itr away! Just get as much as you can to slow them down and make sure you get a tracking device!!! How awesome would it be to catch the thieve that steals your ITR in the act!!!?!!

Hands down the best security you can have is a garage. Also, make sure that you don't get followed home.

I personally think that the most unconventional ways such as kill switches, removing the ecu, booting the wheels, etc work better than alarms.

Yes, it's called the Castle Doctrine. Nevada has it too, thank God. You can shoot any person who threatens you or your property.

I would blast the sh*t outta some thief trying to get my car, hell, it would be worth sacrificing an ITR to get some thieves off the street, permanently.
