Is the k series manual transmission interchangable with the J series? if not, is there a place where the J series and K series transmission codes are listed?

i woudlnt thingkso just bacause of the casings one is for a 2l and the other a 3l. the case numbers from honda are different.

 

They are not interchangeable. Do you mind telling us what it is you're trying to do?

 

I am interested to see what he is on about, and no they are not simply interchangeable.

 

this is what i am rambling about. im looking for a 6 spd trans for my j swap, and saw this bulletin. if you look at the P/N for third gear set in the accords and the civics (both 6 spd) they are one part number off, just wondering if in fact they are interchangable.

Does any one have a list of transmission codes that bolt up to the J series motors (manual only)

 

they may have the same internals...but the cases are differetn

 

if ur looking for a j series tranny swamp, u might look into the tl , for the k series the tsx.. i

 

i know what cars these motors, come in. if i am rummaging through a junk yard or one of out used parts sulpply houses, i want to make sure everything is right.

i have my type s k swap, working on my type j swap as we speak.
