been driving around now with the maintence light on. Probably about 2-3 months. lately it feels as if the car has lost some torque and acceleration. IS this due to the maintence light because its the ecu throwing it into safe mode or something?

 

What year? is this a maintenance light or check engine light (CEL)?

 

its an 03. its just the maintenance required light.
