Now i know how...well where to adjust the cable, but nobody really clarified this....i'm trying to make my clutch pedal engage lower, it engages really high up, when i adjust the cable which way should i adjust to for it to engage lower, should i thread the adjustment **** up or down?
The clutch cable isn't adjustable in the sense that you can move pedal engagement location around. Pedal engagement is a function of the depth the clutch plate "vanes" need to be depressed to release the clutch disc.
None the less, there are some things you can do to make it seem like the pedal is engaging lower, which is to add some play to the clutch cable. Loosening the clutch cable will give you some free play area from the top of the pedal to the point where the clutch engages, so it feels like it is engaging lower. In reality, all it is doing is taking up the slack in the cable before the cable becomes taught and starts moving the TOB.
The problem with adding slack to the cable is that your pedal may no longer have enough range to fully disengage the clutch for shifting.. so it is a delicate balance.
