i like the plexi, but wanted a plexi backing on a "P75 ODB2a" cutout with led backings something like below, just on a smaller scale like oh seay, your ecu.

I work for a laser company, so I get to mess with them. I wanted to laser etch a valve cover but I havent gotten around to it.

You can find them online, just search c02 laser engravers and a bunch will pop up. But they're hella expensive, the cheapest one we make is $10,000.

 

Laser etcing. does it only work on plexiglass, or can painted metal, bare metal, what are the limitations as far as the canvas?

the laser etched covers are legit, but why would you paint your ecu? extreme boredom.

 

Laser etching looks nice. My car has full OEM interior though, it wouldn't make much sense to add a bunch of bling and cover it up with a kick panel.

 

here is an ecu mount that mounts on your floorboard. i have seen nicer ones, but this is the only pic i could find.
