Here's the deal, I will be going down to So.Cali. for the Grand Prix in a few months. My 92 SI doesn't currently have any anti-theft devices, dont need them here. But I would really like to protect my car from thieves when I am in Cali, grew up there, I know what it's like.
So, I am looking at purchasing and installing an alarm system as well as a couple other deterents, but I need to know the pros and cons of each of two Viper systems I am looking to purchase.
I have been reading all day on different systems and such, but don't know enough about their individual functions or options to make an informed decision. Thats why I am turning to your expert opinions on the matter.
Thanks again for your suggestions and input guys.

Kind of hard to compare the two, the 5002 is an alarm and the 7900 is an alarm/remote start.
If all you need is the alarm then the 5002 is the way to go, it has a built in shock sensor, built in normaly open or normaly closed immobilizer and two extra dual stage sensor inputs...

The 7900...
IMPORTANT! This product is designed for fuel-injected, automatic transmission
vehicles only. Installing it in a standard transmission vehicle is dangerous and
is contrary to its intended use. 94

Well, see I didn't know that about the 7900. The fact that my car is 5 spd, plus I don't want or need remote start, that narrows it down for me...LOL
