Hi everyone,

Here's my situation:
While driving, I hear a humming / slight grinding noise from my front driver's side wheel while turning to the right. The frequency of the noise seems to change once per wheel revolution (indicating that the situation changes as the wheel rotates around). It goes away completely while turning to the left. In other words, when the suspension on that side is loaded, I hear the sound. Also, I don't know if this is related, but the rotor in that corner warps continuously. I swap out new brembos every year or so, and it always comes back. I always use a torque wrench on my lug nuts so that's not the problem either.

My troubleshooting:
I've done quite a bit of searching, and everyone seems to suggest that something like this is a wheel bearing, CV joint/boot, or axle. I had a mechanic replace the wheel bearing and inspect the other items and the noise is still there.

What do you all think?

 

Update:

After driving on the highway after the mechanic replaced the wheel bearing, there is now a very noticeable metal to metal rubbing sound when I load the front driver's side suspension (either via a bump or a hard turn). It sounds like it's just the dust shield hitting the rotor or something, but regardless - it seems like there's some movement going on that shouldn't be. Why would the dust shield move independently from the rotor (besides the obvious lack of rotation)?
