Default Steering rack boot leaking oil

Alright so first of all i would like to say that my steering feels completely normal, no clunking or weird noises. Pretty much if i let go of the steering wheel on a level highway it will go straight for a long time.

MY PROBLEM: I woke up today and noticed a pretty large puddle of power steering oil underneath my passenger side ( looked like a pint of oil.) I raised the car and examined the bottom of everything and noticed this weird little baby axle boot torn and a lot of OIl coming from inside. At this point i decided to see if there was any play with the steering, everything felt solid.

MY QUESTION: What do i need to replace and how exactly do i go about it. I have searched but people never accurately describe their problem , so its hard to relate. Some say just replace the boot, but does that go the same with power steerig to manual steering? why in the first place would it have to tear?

MY CAR : 1991 CIVIC DX (4dr) WITH POWER STEERING

ive never messed with power steering besided taking it out. but if you go on hondaautomotiveparts.com and go to ps box components youll see a break down of the rack it self and it looks like theres a bunch of o rings in there. but i can tell you its a bitch do take apart a manual steering rack so i would think its even more of a bitch to tear down a power one. if i was you i would get one at a junk yard or just go manual.

Rebuild time Jon. Once it starts leaking, that's no bueno, if your pump runs out of fluid, it will do damage to the pump, and also not having a lubed rack will cause more issues. Similar to running a motor without oil, but not the same, but comparative. Dunno how much you like your power steering, but I love my manual rack. Gives better road feel. Just a lil bit more difficult to parallel park, but the benefits out weigh that minor con.
