The springs I recommend will depend on which dampers you'll be using . . .

according to suspension gurus who claim to understand the 7th gen civic, rsx, ep3 chassis, anything less than 1.5" is ok...there was even a statement by spoon stating that any drop over 1" will actually harm handling performance on this car...

If you have the means, go for the TEIN basic damper. It's like $600 bucks for the set, but with adjustable ride height and stiffness, it's the best way to make sure you are satisfied with your drop. I started with Tokico HPs, they sucked. Switched to Eibach Sportlines, too low, destroyed my ball joints. TEINs are awesome. Buy the best the first time and you'll be happy for a long time.

Uh... I've never, ever seen a new set of Basic's for $600.

Please, enlighten us.

Top Speed on Archer Ave., just East of Damen, in Chicago. $600. They're $829.00 on Ebay.

Went to their site. Typed "Tein" into the search
http://www.topspeedauto.com/ProductC...0&keyword=Tein

.. nothing for Civics. After manually searching their site, I still didn't find any Tein suspension for a Honda Civic, Acura RSX, etc.

That's not the website for that store. This is a privately owned little speed shop in Chinatown, Joey Feng is the guy that owns it. Drives a badass widebody R34 Skyline. They don't have a website. They have a facebook page, though. I'm telling you, $600 bucks for TEIN basics. They've been selling them @ that price for a few years.

I just love people that enjoy quibbling over trivial details. To get back to the point of this thread. TEINs are great, and you will love them. Whether you find them for $600 as I did, or pay $800, they're worth every penny.

I'm actually going down to that part of the city tomorrow to pick up a trunk lid, and I'll stop by Top Speed and take a picture of the part on the shelf with the price tag. I'll post it tomorrow afternoon.
