Ok yea i searched and not much help came up so im posting this. I have tps trouble with my obdo motor in my ef. Its a 93 civic single cam motor and it sputters/ kicks at random rpm's some times cuts out and totally dies but at a stop it will remain in idle but does not want to rev up. Checked my volts at closed and WOT and reads fine. Any one have an idea if i just have a bad tps or what else it could be?

is it throwing a tps code? it honestly doesnt sound like a tps problem to me. i ran with my TPS unplugged for X amout of time (just noticed it was unplugged one day) and didnt really have any problems like that. not even problems enough to pop the hood and check on stuff... just a little shitty gas mileage (if you want to call 28 mpg shitty).

Code 8 is TDC position

This sensor is in the distributor and will def cause your problems.

I had the same symptoms and code 8 also. I replaced dizzy and it was all gone!
