Default rpm is jumping

it was running perfect until i went to smog my car. smog tech was messing around with the air lines to what im guess, the charcoal canister. when i went to check under tha hood, one of the vacuum lines to the canister was broke but no vacuum was goin to or from that line. i changed it out for a ls one, i have a gsr. but i still have the same problem.

from a cold start, it goes all the way up to 3k. when its warm i stays at either 1600 or bounce around from 2500 and done. can anyone shed some light on what direction i should head too? thanks

specs: 95 gsr stock w/ 4:1 dc header and gutted cat.

try cleaning the intake manifold especially your throttle body, try cleaning the throttle body first then try it

u probably need to replace or clean out the idle air control valve rite behind the intake manifold....remember when replacing any thing one the motor u need to reset the ecu to relearn the work performed...so try and undo the negative to the battery for a couple of seconds to reset and then try to see if that helps....
