Will a GSR crank work in a ITR....? I have to locate one somewhere and cannot afford a new one due to the fact I have a newborn son.... The motor spun a bearing and the shop who is doing the work is telling me that those cranks have some kind of coating on them and shouldnt be turned. He said it WOULDNT last... Is this true? He also advised me NOT to get a remanufactured crank and said that it wouldnt last long either...
I have located a GSR crankshaft but I dont know if they will work in the ITR's.... Any help is appreciated more than I can say.... Thanks in advance!

It will make more "dyno" power due to the decreased rotational inertia. In reality, the true power is unaffected.
Be careful of that guide, as it is misleading. If you read it directly, you would expect the ITR crank to have additional counterweights over the GSR crank. In reality, the counterweight count is the same, but the ITR counterweights have additional mass.
