1999 v-6 accord idle issue
ok i just bought a 99v-6 accord and it sat for like 6 months. i get the car and it idles at like 2k upon start up and then it start to surge from like 1200-2200 for like a min or 2 then idles at 1500 for the rest of the time. i took the throttle body off and cleaned everything and it didnt help. and it throws a code for the map and i replaced it and and no change what so ever. how do i reset the computer?
and when i bought it the battery was toast so i bought a new battery and the horn and lights went off for a few minutes. so i pulled the horn fuse and then put the keys in and cranked it and i guess when i locked the doors with the key it went off. i dont have fob. and it has a aftermarket cd player. and i have the radio key if needed. please help

lets start with the Idle Air Control Valve.
quoted from SHONDA1989 over on V6P.net:
"remove it to clean it and move the valve with a screwdriver and spray the hell out of it with throttle body cleaner, cost you 8 bucks and about 1 hour of time."
"its just a door in the center that you need to wiggle while spraying cleaner to really get the crud out of it. or you can try to find the honda 5 point tool that will unscrew the electric stuff to the valve but you might kill it that way. my suggestion would be to just take a flat head and push and pull up on the valve inside the housing then spray and repeat like untill the bottle is gone"
ECU reset: disconnect battery cable AND pull the #13? fuse on the driver side panel. Fuse is for the clock/radio/temporary ecu backup. Leave the fuse out for 15 minutes...
