Hey guys,
Well wanted to share some information with everyone because this question is not often asked, but the part is difficult to find. I took my dizzy apart, and pressed the bearing off to find what I thought was a part number on it which reads 6001/012NSL...
I searched this on google, and found a few threads asking my same question... couldn't find anything to confirm a place that sold the bearing that I needed in the US... Only in other countries. It seems that at some point the part number was changed?
Anywho, I got in contact with someone at CBR bearings, can't remember his name, but he was a real helpful guy. Even helped me out with info on the metal bearing at the end of the dizzy since it is not a produced replacement part. I told him I wanted to order the bearing, and he let me know that he also stocked the internal seal. I was like GREAT! Toss it in, I will take both... Ordered it Monday (President's Day), which the post office is closed, came in Wednesday. Heck I received the part before the money was taken from my account! lolz
Anyway, my whole thing in telling you guys this is to show you the variation in the number on the bearing to the number on the box. Here are the pics! You will notice the left in the side by side is the new one, has the same markings as the original. But the part number on the box differs slightly. Either way, just hit up CBR bearings, they will take care of your bearing needs!

AFBMA and sfk has a chart (not sure if it is availible to the public) that gives the bearing size and type along with a number from various manufacturers (6001/012NSL) to help standardize bearings, you can compare the number through manufacturers
6001/012NSL is the part number for a NACHI AMERICA INC.
it is BALL BEARING 1/2X28X8MM 2 SEALS
