it kinda depends what your plans are with it.

the stock ls cable tranny has longer gears than a b16 cable tranny.

as long as its cable, youll be fine but you need to figure out what you wanna do with it

Well first of congrats on the buy, i f***king love g2.lol def my fav honda. sec lets see some pics of her...
93 so of course cable, if you happen to find a real B17 transmision i would jump on that as soon as possible. i used to have an original 92 integra gs-r with a completly stock engine. riced the f out, lol. but nothing that couldnt be unmolested..
the b17 cable transmission i belive is the closes geard b series trans next to the Integra Type - R.
since you currently have an ls motor it way be a little harsh on that engine. i honestly dont know.. that would be the same with the B16 cable as well as hydro. they me work just fine on the ls engine but i honestly never ran that combo..
B18c gsr trans would prob be most compatible an a little funner to drive on an ls motor.
prob is and will be with any hydro tranny you will need to buy the hydro to cable conversion from hasport..
your tough part.. trannys are hard to find and always over priced, unless you got a good few or more people you can find a nice deal..
since the car is cable may not be as hard to find or as expencive.
for the price of some tranny's b16 hydro $1,000 thats like $600 shy of a full swap from hmotorsonline.com
hope something i said help.lol but good luck with the new car an the new trans which ever you choose.

ah. thanks. and HELL YEAH TO THE DA's lol i know they're expensive and hard to find. and my plans for the car is N/A. so everything besides boost and all that. im just tryin to get a fast *** street car. my friend has an 88 crx w/ b18b1 and b16 tranny and OMG. fastest little 4cyl i ever rode in. i've drove it. and i know about it so i know how annoyingly close those gears are.
but thanks.. plz reply. more opinions.

and i think i can find a b16 cable tranny right now for real cheap...
