Yeah sorry cuz, a twin cam head won't fit on a single cam block. Maybe look into nitrous after you've done the necessary bolt-ons for a bit more power? Quick, cheap, easy, and surprisingly fun, especially after you beat a few people who think it's "just" a single cam haha.

Figured I'd post on this.

Incorrect, but depends on the motor. Quite a few people have done a "G22" or "G23" where an H series head is put on an F series block.

Probably not the same case for the R18 though.

^ Okay, okay touche haha. I was more or less talking about the K20 head on the R18 block because as far as I know it shouldn't fit but I've been wrong before.

Its possible, i've seen it done. It takes ALOT of work. But it isnt worth it. If you want power out of your r18 your either going to have to strap a turbo to it, my recomendation would be something smaller (low boost but fast spool) or do an all motor build (internals, injectors, cam, intake, intake manifold, race test pipe, 3" exhaust, tune on flashpro running high octane fuel) and remove as much weight in the car as possible. I drive an r18, i love it. And having an extremely quick automatic r18 that can smoke si's is alot more unique than a fast si.

I have yet to see a k series head on an r18 block, I'd like to see a link for proof.

If the r18 auto tranny is anything like the d16 auto tranny, turboing the motor is a quick way to kill the tranny. They're not made for higher power levels. The Si is really the most cost effective way to make decent power. Not only do you start 55 HP up bone stock, but the motor and tranny are much stronger if you want to modify the motor.
