i have a 91 crx si with the stock antenna but after market radio. i get really crappy reception and want to know what i can do to fix it? i've looked at the antennas you put behind your rearview mirror and they look pretty nice. anyone tried this?

 

Check the stock ant. first.

I have installed the "intenna" on many cars and they work pretty good, but you need to find outif the problem is the ant. or otyour aftermarket HU first. 94

You will need a multimeter to test the ant.

Set meter to continuity....

There should be no continuity between center pin and outside barrel of ant. plug.
There should be no continuity between center pin and cars chassis ground.
There should be no continuity between ant. mast and cars chassis ground.
There should be full continuity between center pin and the ant. mast.
There should be full continuity between ant. plugs barrel and cars chassis ground. 94
