on my 95 del sol i just got 2 new tires on the front, and the old front 2 put on the back. all of the tires are the same brand and size (205 50 15). after i left the shop i noticed a whining sound when i cornered and hit bumps and realized the rear tires are rubbing the fender well. do i need smaller rims or would maby a tighter suspension help??? i really dont want to buy all new tires...

That size is .4" larger total diameter from OE, assuming that your car originally came with 185/60/14... I'm not surprised that it rubs. For best results, you should always stay as close as possible to the total diameter of the original setup... for your car, I probably would have recommended 205/45/15. I think that's what most civics/del sols with 15s normally get.

What is your suspension setup/ride height? Adding negative camber will probably fix it if it's not too bad. Most alignment shops won't recommend it, but you can get away with it as long as your toe is zeroed.

 

i have stock suspension so its not lowered or anything.

 

there is a fender rolling kit available from a company called eastwood http://www.eastwood.com/ew-fender-ro...struction.html but it is pretty pricey there is a kinda "ghetto" way of doing this without spending a couple hundo. sometomes if you can find a pipe with the right taper you can stick it between the tire and GENTLY! roll it by reverseing and pulling forward, if your handy with a body hammer you can use that to GENTLY tap over the lip but you have to be carefull with both methods they could crack paint beleive it or not i have used the bat trick on my autocrossed out vw golf in the day hope this helps
