Icon3 std. to 5 speed and mpfi for now then DOHC ZC-Issues ??

Ok, ive decided that for right now since the transmission (4speed) is going out, I found a CRX 5 speed transmission to swap.
-Is it a direct swap or do i need new axles for a 5 speed ?

-Im going DOHC ZC in a few months and want to go ahead and do a DPFI to MPFI swap, is this smart ? It will help the d15a1 out until i get the ZC and it would need to be done anyway right ?

-what causes a speedometer to not work ? mine is out so is the mileage gauge ?

-any help would be greatly appreciated !!

The tranny will bolt right up. You should do the wiring when you have the MPFI engine in there. And it sounds like your speedo cable is in need of replacement
