Post Valvetrain: Skunk2 or Supertech

Wsup HT. Im in the process of building my gsr head. The head is going to be port and polished and I will be running Skunk2 Stage 2 cams. I have the skunk2 valve train minus the valve but I just seen some Supertech springs and retainers for a good price.

I was wondering which one is preferred of the two.

This is a all motor build of course with a stock block. Thanks in advance.

Both are fine choices.

I think u wud be fine with Skunk2... Im running a set of supertech springs & retainers with Skunk2 Pro 2s in my 'port & polish' CTR head... Its been great so far but I've yet to really push the car... Regardless, I dont expect any failures though...

I havent picked up my cam gears yet. I was thinking tuners but are the pro series gears worth the extra money? BTW, how much power are you pushing?

Stick with the tuners. You're barely saving any weight and there have been multiple people with broken Pro-series gears because Skunk2 didn't leave enough material.

Also, not only did you already have the skunk2 vt, but you're generally best off sticking with the same brand vt as cams, since they are actually engineered to work together with their spring rates, etc.
