EM1 Stolen, now wont start
I used to have a 2000 Si shell with an d16y7 automatic, sold the car and they stole it. He got the car back. I bough the car back but couldn't make it turn on, he said when he got it back it would turn on. He lost the key so we had to brake the ignition and we tried to turn it on by that little plastic thing on the end of the ignition. the car would crank but wouldn't start. I know its the fuel pump cause i cant hear turn on and i disconnected the hose from the fuel rail and no gas pumping. check the fuses and everything ok. NOW the question i was wondering if the ignition has to do something with it because their other things connected to it.

Its obvious that the Y7 sohc's are the best motors ever, thats the secret super fast em1 hahaha, i agree with "pothole987" try going to honda, and cross your fingers you get a key..
honda will cut you a key aslong as you have proof of ownership (title/registration) and matching license. still dumbfounded about the automatic d-series em1
Dumbfounded as well, thats alot of work to convert over. The auto shifter assemblemy won't bolt in without cutting the floorpan. As for that ignition crap, when I did my auto to manual conversion I unplugged that crap on the ignition cylinder and it worked fine.
the immobilizer will not matter, it's for the factory ECU which obviously it does not have in it.
OP, when you turn on the ignition feel the main relay and see if you can feel it click. I know you replaced the main relay with a known good one, but i don't feel that the main relay is your problem. Your ignition is broken, therefore it's not completing the circuit in your ignition harness and commanding the fuel pump relay to turn on and let the pump run.

Its obvious someone wanted to have a 2000 Si and just swapped in a motor. The only thing is that everyone is wrong about the Ignition. That ignition peice is white and not black. All ignitions with Immobilizer systems have a Chipped key with a ring around the ignition a black peice at the end which is used to turn the car on. That runs to a security system which is connected to fuel and ECU. In any case the 2000 Si doesnt come equipped with Immobilizer.
Second the vehicle is not starting from any of the 4 fundmentals of how a car works ;P
1. Power/Energy=Battery Power, Starter Powered
2. Spark= Ignition spark, Firing Order
3 Fuel= Fuel Pump, Main Relay, Injectors, No Leaks
4 Timing= Timing belt being off or skipped, and compression being good.
Also does this seem a little fishy to anyone but me how someone is asking how to start a vehicle that they dont seem to have a key to and its a Si that was stolen and returned but wont start??? Mmmmmm I just see it as a little more than wierd. Can I get pics of engine bay please??

Broken ignition + no key + auto steering column + manual pedals + said auto trans and y7 + very dirty car = someone is incredibly stupid or full of **** and trying to start a stolen car. In order to start the car you didn't have to break the ignition, just unscrew the white piece until you have a new key made. Now, you have either cost yourself (or someone else who is missing a car) more money. Manual to auto swap would be WAY to much work and require alot of wiring, cutting, and fabrication. NO ONE in the Honda game would destroy that car/shell for that kind of result. The work is just not worth the end result. I think some one is telling a big lie.
I say pics of whole car or ban.

It makes plenty of sense why a an EJ8 or EM1 would have a D16Y7. Cheap engine as a replacement if the other engine blows or is stolen.
Very weird that it's auto since the EM1 only came in manual. I'm not sure what's really involved in a manual to auto conversion though.
