Default convert seatbelt

Hi there guys just wondering if there is a howto/DIY guide to convert 90-91 seatbelts to 88-89 seatbelt since I hate having the belts on the door plus i had an incident when the belt didn't retract and when the door close that metal part of the belt got stuck and made a big dent between the door which really sucks

ps. I used the search bar too

look in the civic/crx faq 2.0, your going to need seatbelts out of another car with pillar mounted seatbelts, I was going to do it but it requires a bit of cutting and welding.

no problem, yeah cutting and welding is the only thing that turned me away from that project, maybe later on down the road, although 5 point seatbelt harness is an option too if you dont like the door belts

What cutting?

The only cutting I can think of is drilling or enlarging the holes to drop the nut in. A little dremel or drill bit can do that in 2 mins. If you think that's too much cutting, then you shouldn't own a 20 year old car or work on it at all

As for welding, you can just weld the nut onto a thick washer (both are available at Home Depot) and weld that washer onto the pillar. You can drive your car to a shop with a welder and pay them $20 to weld in 3 spots. Take them about 10 mins to do.

Get those door mtd seatbelts outta there!
